Moving is sooooo much fun!

Ah, two weeks from today the moving truck will pull away with all our earthly possessions stowed inside. I will have been sipping lemonade while watching the strong and oh-so-careful packers gently tuck things into boxes as if they were their own. We can then hop in the car for a leisurely cruise in our SUV across these United States to beautiful, sunny, Atlanta. Our six children, who have been magnificently entertaining themselves since school got out, will sing songs, read books, and tell awesome chicken/road jokes along the way. We will memorize our "Family Move Scripture", and perhaps make up a song with lyrics about all the things we will miss (or not miss) about Minnesota. Everyone will be sure to use the rest room PRIOR to leaving the gas station, and nobody will want that nasty cuisine from restaurants that begins with "Mc". Along the way, we will strictly adhere to bedtime routines while staying in hotels. We will arrive in Atlanta refreshed and ready for our new life to begin.

Upon entering our new abode, I will have personal revelation about which furniture will be assigned to which room to prevent having to rearrange the heavy items once the movers leave. I figure it will only take 3 or 4 days before I find "a place for everything, and everything in it's place", just like my mother taught me. Then we can spend the rest of our summer at the pool while reading summer book lists so we are all ready for school to begin.
Yes, I think this is going to go just swimmingly.
Don't you?

Uh, yeah. Good luck with that.

So, once you are beautifully settled in, will you please send me your book lists? -- we're always looking for more! But maybe don't wait until you're beautifully settled. Maybe just wait until you have internet access and can find them.

p.s. My goal was to be settled before our year anniversary, but now it's to be "settled" (whatever that really means) before Thanksgiving, which is two days before #7 comes.

Sounds like a lovely dream. When do you think you'll wake up? :-) Let me know if you need any help over the next two weeks, by the way. My Econ class just ended, so I have a little extra time on my hands.

Hey, Tiffster! The reason I'm writing to you on your blog is because I DON'T HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS!

A note about the J.W. that keeps a half-eaten bag of cinnamon bears in "her" drawer, which would be ON your thighs..... Think of who Jennie dated when you were roomies. THAT'S J.W.!! He sneaks in a comment now and then. Hahahaha!
