The only "problem" with getting a ton of baby gifts is the amount of time it takes to write Thank You notes that very likely fail to convey my gratitude. (yes, I know that's a run-on sentence)
Alas, I shall persevere.

It's raining, it's pouring, the new mom is snoring...
Reed smiling at the thought of all his new clothes...
Tuesday night my friend Hollie threw Reed and I a lovely baby shower! Much thanks to our very generous friends! He will definitely be the best dressed child in our family! I felt strange having a shower for my 6th child, but it was really nice. (I hadn't kept as many boy baby things as I thought...) So blessed to have such nice friends and neighbors!
And speaking of showers, winter is finally coming to an end here in Minnesota. It has been rainy all week, melting the 4 foot drifts of snow along the roads. We even have thunder and lightning here this morning which only means one thing. We have left winter and are officially entering TORNADO SEASON! (See, the weather doesn't always suck in Minnesota)
And finally, it seems that a side effect of this last pregnancy is that I now officially snore. (Although not as often or for as long as I might like...) Poor Jared doesn't know what to do with me. It has left him wondering how I've lived with him so afflicted the last 15 plus years. Do you think it will last? I'm sure it has something to do with "advanced maternal age".

Song and Dance Man
Last night we packed our whole clan, including Grandma, to trek to the Stake Center for Youth Cultural Night. I may not be able to make it to church yet, but by golly, I was gonna watch my boy do the hoe-down.As you can see, he was the star "flipper"!
Doing the "WAVE" (Authentic Pioneer choreography)
The handsomest par'dner to be sure...
The entire event was entirely delightful, and I was so proud of my growing up boy!
